Apples blitz

Ingredients for 6 people:

 Apples 900 gr

3 tablespoons of sugar

juice of 1 lemon.

For the dough

Butter 60g

sugar 150g

2 eggs

juice and zest of half a lemon

½ tablespoon of baking powder

flour 200g

1 cup of milk

1 tablespoon of rhum

3 tablespoons of icing sugar

olive oil

margarine (to grease).


Wash the apples, peel and cut into 4 pieces. Remove seeds then you do on each piece of apple some parallel cuts (but left whole the opposite side of the piece of apple).

Put apples in a dish, sprinkle with sugar, sprinkle with the lemon juice and let stand for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the dough: whip sugar and butter with a spatula; add the egg yolks and continue to whip, then add the juice and zest of half a lemon. Mix the flour and baking powder and add them to the mixture along with the milk and rum.

Separately, whip the egg whites until stiff and add them to the mixture, stirring gently from bottom to top.

Grease a round cake pan and fill it with the mixture then dive gently apples with the cuts upwards. Grease with a little oil and place in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 40 minutes.

Remove the cake from the oven, sprinkle with powdered sugar, let cool and serve.
