PREPARATION
Turn on the oven and set the temperature to 180 ° C then, remove the seeds from vanilla pod and keep aside. In a saucepan pour the milk, the cream, the seeds and the vanilla pod and simmer over low heat until the mixture starts to boil. Separately, in a bowl, mix the egg yolks with the sugar gently being careful not to make it frothy.
Remove the milk from the heat and add to the egg mixture and sugar then stir constantly and gently with a wooden spoon; remove the vanilla pod and seeds. Pour the mixture into the baking dish suitable for creme brulee and place it in a baking dish rather high that you filled to 1/3 of water to cook the cream in a double boiler.
Put in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 1 hour then remove and let cool. Now sprinkle the surface with a little 'sugar and put back in the oven by setting it on the cooking grill for about 2 minutes so that it caramelize.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
